Sunday sky and some knit stuff

Today was a glorious 65 degrees! But windy. And that always means a new pressure system is moving in. So after the sun got tired of peeking in and out of the clouds, this is what we were left with. I'm expecting a bit of rain in the next hour or so, don't you think? The dogs and I made the most of the nice temperatures and we may have zoomed through a Sonic to get a cherry limeade for me and some tater tots for the pups. There was also some cavorting in a muddy field and now we're all tuckered out. Some of us need baths more today than yesterday. OK, that would be all of us. :)
But in the last bit of daylight, I snapped a few knit pictures. First is a more serious representation of my progress on Lily than the last one.

Here's the problem: I was supposed to get a gauge of 5 spi. But no, I've got 5.5 give or take. Also, my knit stitches tend to be sort of short. So instead of knitting until there's 110 stitches for the back section, I'm going to knit until there's more like 126. I'm winging the math people and it might come crashing down around me. It might look like it's time to separate the sections and start knitting them individually, but there's no way it'll reach to my underarm yet. That's really my goal, to be able to put my arms in it.
So don't you think I need another sweater to work on at the same time that doesn't cause quite so much fretting? How could I not cast on Cobblestone when I had the suggested yarn and and perfect gauge swatch?

It's a teeny bit blurry - I was trying to get you some real color with that last bit of real light. The wind was blowing really hard too. I could have toppled right over trying to get this picture for my 2nd sweater confession. I know it's a bad idea to have 2 sweaters going at the same time. Well, it is for me at least. Something's going to end up neglected. Too early to tell which at the moment.
My last picture is my neighbor's cat - she was very interested in the weirdo taking pictures of clothing outside.

OK, maybe a little closer - she's very pretty. And I've got a soft spot for calico cats.
